Dear Residents and Families:
The health and safety of our residents and team members is our highest priority. As we continue to face the uncertainty and concern regarding the evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we continue to follow the guidelines of the Illinois Department of Public Health (“IDPH”), McHenry County Health, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”). Our current restrictions and screening will continue until further notice.
We have not had any positive COVID-19 cases since whole house testing on June 2, 2020. We still have to take all precautions necessary for any residents who leave the building. Residents are currently required to stay under a 14-day quarantine upon returning from the hospital, skilled nursing facility, doctor’s office, etc. Please make sure everyone is speaking to our nursing staff before making your appointment or going out for any reason. Eastgate will send out additional notification if anything changes. Please remember to practice social distancing, wear your mask when appropriate and report any illness or change in condition to our nursing department.
We are hopeful to begin doing some small activity groups, like exercise and/or bingo in the next few weeks. As staff work toward organizing some of the group activities, we are also planning on some group dining. Our numbers will most likely be under 10 people to an area with certain rules to start. The activity and dining groups would be restricted, scheduled, and constantly monitored for safety. Staff would try to make everything as normal as possible due to the circumstances. We appreciate everyone’s patience and stay tuned for more updates. If you have any other questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to us. Thanks again for your partnership.
