To all Families and Friends,
We hope you all are staying healthy during this tough time dealing with the COVID-19 Pandemic. For communications purposes, please keep your eyes out for email updates. Please remember to check your spam or junk emails since we have a company email domain.
We are checking our Residents’ vital signs up to three times daily per CDC, IDPH, and local health department recommendations. Social distancing at six feet is constant. We are fortunate enough to not have any positive COVID-19 cases at Eastgate. We are continuing with all of our current restrictions through at least May 1st including the following:
- No visitors, except to drop off items at the front door. Please understand this is for the health, safety and security of our residents and staff. Feel free to reach out to us if we can help with virtual visits like FaceTime. (Please note that we are all very thankful for the signs that have been made for us!)
- Room service is in place for all meals while our dining room and bistro are closed for residents.
- Activity areas, the lower level, and patios are closed. Residents are allowed to use our pathway to walk outside.
- No Residents are allowed in other Resident rooms, or to congregate inside or outside.
Please keep in mind: If a Resident goes out to the hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility or Rehabilitation Center, they may not be able to return right away. We are following all CDC, IDPH, and local health department recommendations. Depending on where the Resident went and reason, things can change daily. We will be in contact with you as always if the Resident you’re involved with is sent out for any reason. We are still discouraging Residents from going out with Family for anything, even doctors’ appointments, unless absolutely necessary. If you have questions about a particular appointment, please contact our Nursing department so we can work together. We are still able to deliver items to our Residents if you drop them at the front door. However, we respectfully ask that you to confirm a drop-off time.
